Cutting The Tension With The Museum

We spent the last couple of day working a nine to fiveish business on night and weekends looking and debating about where we're going to live for the past few weeks the days just feel like a blur. I thank God for the Sabbath with out it there would have been no true family time nor real true time with God (Exodus 20:8-11, Isaiah 58:13-14, Hebrews 4) but there is still something missing. true QT time with the children!

It was agreed. Me and Ann will call a 4 hour truce from our different view points of our future to provide a united front of quality time with the kids. Now we are notorious for doing museum drive bys. We've even had trips as low as 30 min at the museum. It's not about making a field day of going it's about giving the opportunity to play and learn. A 30 minuet trip means a good solid half an hour in one section of the building. It's not about completing a venue, It's about enjoying the process and giving the little ones the opportunity to actually fully grasp and enjoy that section of the museum there in. Letting it marinate for there will be other visits in the future (Lords willing) and they will be able to grasp the whole museum in time.

Side Note:

A lot of the museum we attend we go for free or reduced price with our children museum association card. It cost about $100.00 and it will pay for it self if you vised the museum more the 5 times a year and it covers admission all over the nation!

Back to Newton CT Museum

We committed to the 4 hour and veered off time by 40 minuets. The time was well spent and it definitely eased the tension and disputes for a couple of days. If you find yourself in a stressful time with you spouse. Cut the tension with a date night. Family or personal.

We left the aquarium pledging to do one mini trip/ date with the little ones. At least once a week. It lasted a little of 2.5 months. I pray it was part of the best 2.5 moths of their little lives.
