We leave the convention tired but great full. Slept a total of 8 hours within the past 3 days but we are not complaining we are truly thankful. There are many people who wished they had the opportunity to capture such a wonderful event. Now its time to get back to the mission. To get this country home ready for the kiddies and wife. After 1.5 hour drive we make it home. I had no idea we had a foot of snow at home. I pull up to the drive way to find the walk way and driveway paved. Thank you neighbor and thank you Jesus! I was so tired I really didn't have the energy. God foresaw it and made provisions .

Every where that wasn't shovel was a very thick sheet on top of snow. strong enough support a 259 lb man stepping on top of it. It was 9 degrees and dropping where I was. What about up state? I suddenly dreaded the trip we were going to take. After some I told you so by the wife we got the rabbit in we started our nap.
We got up early in the morning to make it for our internet installation for 8 am (because internet is life). I'm still dreading the trip. before we went to sleep Ann shows me a video of Canadians shoveling close to 5 feet of snow and we are 3 hours from them. I need to be inform. Where is my phone?
I check to see what the temperature. 1 degree feels like -5. How much snow fell? A little over 1'. Ok I need to dress warm and I need to be equip to dig. What do I have for -5 I don't have much. I need to layer. I check the oil tank here it's near empty let me go get some diesel. Hopefully five gallons will cover me till the the oil company come. Oh snap what about upstate i better make that a double. When getting myself together the Holy Spirit reminded me I have a snow blower purchased from a neighbor who left town that I never used. Thank you Lord but How to use it? We leave the house late and I forgot the shovel smh on top of that I'm smelling fumes. I thinking about the 5 gallons of diesel in the back of the van and the warning label "these fumes may cause cancer". "Lord please help and cover us" . 2.5 hours in the journey the cable installer says I'm here. Uh sir we are 30 min away you can start with the outside, we'll be there shortly. He replies, Sir how am I suppose to drive up to your house sir you drive way is not clear. (in my head you sound like a big baby 1 foot of snow should not be hard to manage) Ok sir I know my appointment is from 8 - 11 I'll should be ready by 9:30 sorry for the inconvenience. I don't have time to go to home depot now if I'm going to meet my promise. We get there and boy was I wrong.
The was just a clear sheet of snow and at the end it was brown with Ice clumps. Lord please help me I don't even know what this blower is capable of. I don't even know how to really use it. I watched some videos off of youtube while coming up (don't judge me) but they weren't my model and I couldn't really watch it me getting there safely was more important. I go to the back of the van and ask Ann to help me. I found where the smell was coming from. The way we position the tank when loading the blower had gas leaking out of the on to the back of the car seat. Help me lord. Now I have not Idea how long this fuel will last. One thing I over heard was that it was like a lawn mower so I did. (this video would have been helpful if I remember where it was

I thought I was well covered and for the most part I was. The weather quickly showed me my flaw my hands. As I learn the blower fighting up hill with shear might those metal handle bars quickly reveled to me that this was going to be an up hill battle with nature jabbing me at my Achilles heal. with each pending step I realize my current situation is not going to work. I need to scrummage the van floor for protection of my hands. Walking back I fell in to the that is use to drain water. It comes up to my chest I didn't even know it was so deep. I got to get up this is not going to be good for my hands and body if my clothes get with. I only have on khakis and fleece PJ pants for insulation.
My hands are soo cold its red. Ann Marie gives me her scarf. Let's give it a try .
No it feel even colder. My hands are getting numb I can feel little sensation. I make another pass. I'm starting the get a good hold on the snow but this won't last. I have to scrummage again. I get to the car and find dish washing gloves and and one kid glove and now Ann gives me one of her tights to use. Let's give it another go. Help me Lord my hand are soo cold. My hands are still on chill but its a slower chill now. I think I will be able to finish . With each pass the numbness increase the mini car breaks is not really helping.
Finally it's done ! I the blower back into the garage and briskly walk back to the car. I sit the seat, hands slightly shaking trying to take off my so call means of hand protection and I cant feel any thing at first. Slowly but surly my hand constantly increases in temperature that would not stop. My hand comes on fire or feels like that. this is unbearable it's getting too hot in hear we have to cut off the heat in the car. My hands is burning I never felt pain like this. I tell Ann to take a picture of the drive way for the installer because I can't do it my self. I now starting to express my discomfort. She place my hands on her breast. What I'm going to do with that I'm not a baby. She been watching to much love movies when she was younger. It's not helping in need to think. Even with the heat off the temperature is still rising! Most sincerest prayer I can give "Lord please help!" I need to to think, "You need to drive". In motion the slight cooling sensation slowly comes in. Thank you Lord!
